You also get two fliers advertising the in-game unlockables and the “Sands of Time” downloadable bonus game (the console versions of the Steelbook get “PoP Classic” instead). Although called “lithographies” for some reason, they are plain cardboard, just like the postcards, but I find the art more interesting.

The Steelbook edition includes three smaller paintings (13.5×10.5cm), in a similarly-sized envelope, showing varying landscapes from the game. All but one of them are images you have already seen somewhere on the packaging, though, and they are all quite similar in style. The Russian release includes 4 large postcards (13x17cm) each showing the Prince in a different location. The artwork extras is where the two editions differ. The panoramic picture of the city and the desert is used for the inlay in both cases.

The Russian manual is the same contents, just translated.

It has a single-use sticker covering the activation code, which is a good guarantee that the code has not been used, if you buy a second-hand copy. The EU Steelbook includes an English manual. It is a combined DVD-Video/DVD-ROM, with a section that can be played in a DVD player, and a section that can be run on a PC (even if you bought the console version of the Steelbook). The Russian edition has the game translated to Russian (official localization by Akella), but the bonus DVD is in English and is the same between the two versions. The Russian edition uses a completely different image on the inner Digipak.īoth editions come with the game DVD and a bonus DVD with various multimedia content – screenshots, soundtrack, trailer videos, etc. The image on the Steelbook is a silhouette adaptation of the “Prince in a sandstorm” image. The Russian edition takes a more traditional approach, with a Digipak in a cardboard slipcase no “special” or “limited” or “collector” is mentioned anywhere, except the small yellow textbox in the middle of the backside, which lists the contents. This also means that the same Steelbook can be used for the PC, PS3 and X360 releases – only the sleeve is different. Other than the “Prince of Persia” and Ubisoft logos, all text is written on the sleeve, most likely because fine printing on aluminium is difficult. The EU Limited Collector’s Edition comes in a Steelbook DVD case inside a translucent plastic sleeve.
